$6000 scholarships still available at Michigan Technological University for Fall 2010

The International Programs and Services Office at Michigan Technological University is pleased to announce they are still accepting applications and awarding scholarships for the Fall 2010 semester. Eligible undergraduate students may receive up to $6,000 in tuition assistance for each academic year, up to 4 years.

Applying is free and the form and application checklist can be found online at http://www.mtu.edu/international/admissions/apply/. Students may submit an electronic application online or by email.

Michigan Technological University is ranked as a first tier university by US News and World Report (#121) and included in the Princeton Review’s “The Best 371 College.” With about 900 international students and scholars from over 60 different countries, the campus is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and have an enrollment of less than 7,000 students. The university offers ESL, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs and offers programs in engineering, technological studies, and the natural sciences.

The fall semester begins August 30, 2010, and students are expected to arrive on campus by August 21 to attend a week-long orientation. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but students need to allow sufficient time for travel and visa appointments.
