Winona State University offers two scholarships to international students.
The scholarships are described as follows:
1. The cross cultural scholarship is awarded to all international students who are accepted for admission to WSU. It allows students to pay at the resident rate of tuition instead of the non-resident rate. They expect that resident tuition and fees for fall semester of 2009 will be approximately $3,958.00. This scholarship is renewable until graduation if the student maintains a certain grade point and meets other criteria.
2. The Presidential Honor Scholarship (PHS) is fairly new and is available to entering freshman with no transfer credits. This scholarship is based on achieving a high TOEFL score. Complete information is available at www.winona.edu/international/9224.asp The PHS scholarship combined with the cross cultural scholarship offers a great advantage in terms of reducing the total cost of attending Winona State University.
